Hands on work experience at H2 Energy

By Emma Shotton in People 07 August 2014

H2 Energy Ltd recently played host to two very enthusiastic and motivated work experience students.

Beth Jackson and Josh Millar, both aged 17 from Hilbre Humanities High School spent a week working within the Projects, Electrical and Research and Development Laboratory Teams to gain work experience before completing the final year of their A levels with the college.

Work Experience Josh BethBeth and Josh both expressed a particular interest in Chemistry and Biochemistry, and so after the pair spent time with a range of departments to understand the function of the Lab within the Company’s operations, they spent much of their time working at the Company’s Research and Development Laboratory in Runcorn.

At H2 Energy, we were extremely impressed with Beth and Josh’s willingness to learn and 'get involved' attitudes. We would like to wish both Beth and Josh all the best for their futures and we are sure they’ll be successful in their chosen paths.

Work experience placements and apprenticeships are something H2 Energy are passionate about, benefiting the local community to provide opportunity for young people to gain valuable skills.

Beth & Josh were two very intelligent, confident and enthusiastic students who both demonstrated a good understanding of laboratory practices and chemical theory.

They were a pleasure to work with and a credit to Hilbre High School Humanities College.
